As a young, independent specialist publisher, the Ugarit publishing house has been publishing scientific literature in the area of antiquity in the eastern Mediterranean region in Münster since 1988. As has been the case since the founding of the publishing house, the Ugarit publishing house will continue to waive printing subsidies in the future, but will subject the publications to a strict review by independent colleagues.
The focus of the offer is on the following areas:
- Philology,
- History of religion,
- History,
- archeology
and are aimed at both academics and students who are interested in
- scientific publications for research,
- didactic work materials for teaching
interested.
The Ugarit publishing house is published in the following formats:
- Trade magazines and series,
- Dissertations and habilitations,
- Congress contributions,
- Commemorative and commemorative writings.
As of 2014, all publications will be offered both as print media and as e-books. The creation and maintenance of scientific databases extends the offer of the Ugarit publishing house.
